As a senior in Information Science at UNC-Chapel Hill, I have undertaken many projects which showcase my passion, creativity, and ability to translate users’ needs into practical solutions. I independently conceived of, developed, marketed, and released Daysy: a native iOS app released to the Apple App Store in 2024. As a Leadership Team member of App Team Carolina, I designed the Rover Rideshare app, and fully redesigned the Chapel Hill Transit app. I spearheaded designs for Bubbly (currently on the App Store) and the Carolina Cupboard app. As Team Lead, I taught aspiring UI/UX Designers to solution-focuses design principles. During my research and design journeys, I taught myself how to use Figma for creating UI designs, obtained a Google UX certificate to help me better understand the UX process, created custom websites to promote applications, taught myself Apple’s Swift programming language, and how to create and publish native iOS applications. I envision a career at the intersection of software design, accessibility, and emerging technologies. My goal is to lead innovative projects that address real-world challenges, and advance information systems to improve peoples’ quality of life.
As a musician, I have performed around the nation, placing
in competitions in several states with different award-winning
ensembles, including the Triangle Youth Watson Brass Band, and
the Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble, where I performed in Lincoln
Center, NYC. I am fortunate to have worked with many
talented artists and musicians. Additionally, I held the position of Lead Trumpet in the UNC Jazz Band for 3 years, and am grateful to have had the chance to play with so many wonderful musicians. Learn more in the Music tab.
